The new DI-STRIP Triple Power socket strip from Knürr supplies
modern high-performance network racks with three times the power
thanks to the 3-phase system.

Space in network racks is getting tighter on a daily basis. The latest generation of Blade servers or 1HU Pizza servers makes it possible to pack servers in even more densely than ever. Over 40 servers can be installed today in one Knürr rack, which of course leads to a parallel increase in energy requirements, and this is where the users rapidly reaches their limits with the conventional 1-phase power supply.
Knürr is now launching a 3-phase socket strip with triple power on the market. The Product Manager responsible for this innovation explains that, “The name Triple Power stands for the efficiency of our latest development” and he goes on to add, “everyone knows these red commando plugs at home, in the workshop, the garage or for the cooker in the kitchen.”

The DI-STRIP Triple Power uses a 3-phase feed with 3x16A, which it optimally distributes throughout the whole rack. The standard 23 HU and 41 HU lengths cover the entire product spectrum at Knürr, from the `smaract` model through to the `miracel`.
The outputs on the strip are marked with three colours, which makes it easy for the user to allocate the respective phases (L1, L2, L3).
Up to 48 users can be connected in the maximum configuration level to one DI-STRIP Triple Power strip. The consumer can look forward to significantly reduced costs for assembly, installation and wiring, because for the same number of outputs, they would have to install eight 1-phase euro socket strips.
With a redundant feed (6x16A), over 22,000 watts can be fed into the rack with just two Triple Power strips.

Data centres require intelligent and cost-efficient solutions with power supply in server racks, and Knürr meets this demand with the DI-STRIP Triple Power.

Heat generation:
Such large numbers of servers obviously generate enormous amounts of energy losses as heat. CoolTherm® racks from Knürr easily rise to this challenge, as they can divert over 20,000 watts of dissipated heat.
